Join our dynamic team as a Sawing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender in Pineville, LA. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized machinery to ensure precision cuts in various wood materials. Your expertise will contribute to not only meeting production targets but also to maintaining the highest quality standards in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate saw machines for various wood types.
• Monitor machines during operation for performance and safety.
• Make adjustments to machine settings to optimize production efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of wood products to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Follow safety best practices to minimize workplace accidents.
• Document production data, including quantities and any discrepancies.
• Assist in the training of new hires in proper equipment operation.
• Contribute to team discussions to improve workflows and processes.
• Participate in safety drills and adhere to emergency protocols.
• Work on special projects as required by supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in woodworking or a similar field is preferred
