Job Description

As a Hand Wood Sander, you will play a critical role in the production process, focusing on the manual sanding and finishing of wood products. Your keen eye for detail and experience with hand tools will ensure our high-quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Hand sand wooden surfaces to achieve desired smoothness and finish.
• Operate various handheld sanding tools and equipment effectively.
• Inspect surfaces for imperfections and ensure quality standards are met.
• Remove old finishes and prepare surfaces for painting or staining.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.
• Document work completed and material usage.
• Provide feedback on sanding processes and product improvements.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical Certificate in Woodworking is a plus

Experience

• Preferably 2-5 years in a relevant role

Technical Skills

• Sanding Equipment Proficiency
• Finish Application Techniques

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Custom Wood Products: Knowledge or experience with custom woodworking projects is a plus.
