Job Description

We are seeking a Dietetic Technician who will play a vital role in assisting registered dietitians in providing nutritional care to patients. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of dietary principles and will actively engage with patients to promote healthy eating habits. Your contribution will significantly enhance the well-being of patients as they navigate their dietary needs throughout their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nutritional analysis and assessments for patients.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Document and track patient dietary intakes accurately.
  • Provide support for food service operations as needed.
  • Facilitate nutrition education workshops for patients and families.
  • Monitor food safety and hygiene practices in meal preparation.
  • Assist in developing instructional materials for patients.
  • Engage in research activities related to clinical nutrition.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of dietary interventions and adjust as necessary.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote healthy eating.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate degree in Dietetic Technology is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Sciences is a plus
Experience
  • Experience in hospital or clinical settings preferred
