Job Description
As a Middle School Resource Teacher, you will lead the development of personalized learning strategies for students requiring special assistance. Your expertise will shape the academic lives of each student entrusted to your care.
Responsibilities
Assess students to identify individual educational needs.
Develop and oversee individualized education programs (IEPs).
Work with teachers to adapt lesson plans for students with special needs.
Deliver targeted instruction in individual or small group settings.
Track and report on student progress to ensure comprehension and retention.
Engage with families to discuss student achievements and areas for improvement.
Participate in the development of school-wide support programs.
Conduct ongoing professional development and training.
Integrate technology and assistive devices into lessons.
Advocate for students' needs within the school setting.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
Master's degree in Special Education is preferred
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher at the middle school level.
