Campus Police Officer

Job Description

The Campus Police Officer is tasked with ensuring safety and security within the campus. This role involves providing a visible presence to deter criminal activities, responding to emergencies, and enforcing campus policies. Officers are expected to engage with the community, provide assistance, and conduct thorough investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the campus to maintain a visible presence.
• Quickly respond to emergency situations and assist as needed.
• Enforce compliance with campus regulations and conduct thorough investigations.
• Assist individuals with safety and security-related inquiries.
• Work in conjunction with local law enforcement for community safety.
• Engage with students and staff to promote safety awareness.
• Document all incidents and maintain log entries as required.
• Attend training sessions to enhance law enforcement skills.
• Assist in organizing campus safety events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a law enforcement role.
