Job Description

As a Pig Machine Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of pig machines, ensuring they function efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. You'll lead a team of operators, guiding them in best practices and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise pigging operations for pipeline maintenance and inspection.
  • Ensure the correct selection and deployment of pigging tools and equipment based on operational requirements.
  • Develop and implement pigging schedules, prioritizing activities and resources efficiently.
  • Monitor and analyze pigging data to identify anomalies, pipeline integrity issues, or areas for performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute necessary repairs or maintenance activities.
  • Train and mentor pigging technicians, ensuring their technical competence and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during pigging operations.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to pigging operations.
  • Participate in regular meetings to provide updates on pigging operations.
  • Foster a teamwork environment that emphasizes safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Industry-specific certifications or technical training preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in pig machine operation and maintenance, with preference for supervisory experience.
