Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and highly organized Psychiatric Secretary to provide administrative support and assist in the smooth functioning of our psychiatric office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, discretion, and a background in healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the scheduling of patient appointments and manage the flow of office traffic.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication.
  • Prepare and send out necessary documents and correspondence related to patient care.
  • Implement and uphold office policies to maintain quality patient care standards.
  • Assist with onboarding new patients and provide them with relevant forms and information.
  • Support billing operations by verifying insurance details and addressing patient inquiries regarding billing.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for updating and managing patient information.
  • Train and guide new administrative staff in office procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
  • Engage in continuous learning opportunities to enhance efficiency and patient service.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration is preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience as a secretary or administrative assistant in a healthcare setting.
