Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter to set up and operate Swiss-Type Screw Machines, ensuring the production of high-quality components. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Effectively set up Swiss-Type Screw Machines for production runs.
• Inspect materials and tools necessary for production.
• Accurately document production and machine calibration.
• Mentor junior team members in machine operations.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a machining program or equivalent experience

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in machine operation

Technical Skills

• CNC Programming
• Precision Measurement Tools

Soft Skills

• Mechanical Aptitude
• Independent Work

Certifications

• Manufacturing Skills Standards Council Certification
• Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM Software: Experience with CAD/CAM software will be beneficial.
• Experience with Six Sigma Principles: Knowledge of Six Sigma for quality control processes.
