Job Description

As a Bailing Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining bailing machinery in our recycling facility. Your role is crucial in ensuring the machinery runs efficiently and safely, contributing to our sustainability efforts. Attention to detail is vital as you will perform quality checks on bailed materials, monitor production rates, and collaborate with your team to optimize processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage bailing operations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on bailing machines.
• Oversee the bailed product's quality control process.
• Adjust machinery settings as necessary for optimal performance.
• Train new operators on equipment use and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of production outputs.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to improve processes.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals.
• Engage in trouble-shooting machinery issues as they arise.
• Support the recycling program initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in machine operation preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in machine operation within a manufacturing or recycling environment

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

Certifications

• Valid forklift operator certification is a plus
