Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Zoologist or Wildlife Biologist to manage and conserve migratory bird populations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in implementing conservation strategies and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor migratory bird populations and assess their health and sustainability.
  • Conduct habitat assessments and recommend management practices for improvement.
  • Engage in community outreach to educate about the importance of migratory birds.
  • Analyze data from research studies to determine conservation impacts.
  • Participate in grant writing and funding proposals to support conservation projects.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with conservation partners and stakeholders.
  • Document all research and management activities accurately for reporting purposes.
  • Stay updated on the latest conservation methods and technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology, Zoology, or a related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience specifically focused on migratory bird conservation
