Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Special Education Teacher for Elementary students. In this role, you will create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, adapting learning materials and methods to meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate student IEPs.
  • Work closely with specialists, counselors, and parents to support student needs.
  • Conduct assessments to determine student needs and progress.
  • Incorporate multi-sensory and differentiated instruction techniques.
  • Facilitate inclusion practices within the general education classroom.
  • Provide coaching and support to paraprofessionals and volunteers.
  • Organize and lead parent workshops and informational sessions.
  • Stay updated on best practices and trends in special education.
  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Engage in reflective practice to continuously improve teaching strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Special Education is preferred
  • Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in a special education setting
