Cytogenetic Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a Cytogenetic Technologist responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating diseases. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in cytogenetics and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cytogenetic analysis using standard laboratory techniques.
• Interpret and analyze complex data to assist in patient diagnoses.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment for optimal performance.
• Participate in quality control and assurance programs to ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to research and study projects related to cytogenetics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or a related field
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting

Languages

Advantageous
