Job Description

As a Bias Cutter Helper at Fabric Creations Inc., you'll play a crucial role in assisting our Bias Cutter with the precise cutting of fabric strips on a bias. This physically demanding position requires exceptional attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination. You'll ensure that fabric strips are accurately cut for piping and binding, and collaborate with the production team to maintain our standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Bias Cutter to achieve precise fabric cuts for production.
  • Verify and maintain fabric inventory levels and notify management of shortages.
  • Help ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while operating machinery.
  • Assist in maintaining a well-organized cutting department.
  • Participate in routine maintenance checks for cutting equipment.
  • Contribute ideas for increasing workplace safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct troubleshooting for minor equipment malfunctions as needed.
  • Assist with additional tasks in the production area as required.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or textile environment is preferred
