Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Urban and Regional Planner to advance our mission of promoting economic growth by attracting new businesses and fostering relationships with existing entities. The ideal candidate will excel in strategic planning, community engagement, and developing initiatives that enhance our local economy.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze regional market demographics and economic trends to inform planning.
  • Engage with the community to gather input and promote development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts in the business and government sectors.
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic economic development programs.
  • Work with stakeholders to facilitate public-private partnerships.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of economic development projects.
  • Prepare and present reports on economic development efforts to stakeholders.
  • Advise local governmental bodies on economic development policies.
  • Implement community engagement strategies to gain stakeholder support.
  • Contribute to regional planning efforts to enhance economic growth.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or related discipline
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in economic development or community planning
