Job Description

As an Animal Scientist, you will utilize behavioral principles to analyze and modify animal behavior effectively. Your role will involve conducting assessments, designing intervention plans, and collaborating with a team of professionals to enhance the well-being of animals in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify behavioral problems.
• Implement behavior plans and provide training to clients and caregivers.
• Supervise behavior technicians and provide ongoing guidance.
• Maintain accurate records on client progress and behavior outcomes.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure coordinated care.
• Document all interventions and their outcomes effectively.
• Educate stakeholders on behavioral approaches and interventions.
• Stay abreast of continuing education requirements and certifications.
• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulations.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings and discussions.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Animal Behavior or related field
• Licensure as a Behaviorist is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a clinical or healthcare setting working with behavioral issues
