Nurseryman Assistant

Job Description

The Nurseryman Assistant supports the Nurseryman in nurturing and maintaining a variety of plants and trees for retail customers. This role combines outdoor work with essential labor to ensure our plants thrive in a sustainable environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of planting, watering, and care of nursery plants.
• Effectively operate and maintain necessary tools and equipment.
• Document and maintain plant health records diligently.
• Assist in providing exceptional customer service during nursery visits.
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations.
• Work closely with the nursery team to achieve operational goals.
• Contribute ideas for improving plant care and nursery aesthetics.
• Support promotional activities to engage the community.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture or related field is a plus

Experience

• Experience in horticulture or agriculture is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Plant Cultivation Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Plant Diseases: Knowledge of common plant diseases and appropriate treatments.
