Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Food Inspector to ensure the safety and quality of the food supply. You will collaborate with food businesses, investigate complaints, and prepare reports on your findings. Your work will play a vital role in public health.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect food processing facilities, retail food establishments, and other food-related businesses.
  • Collect and analyze samples of food, water, and materials for safety checks.
  • Communicate effectively with business owners, managers, and employees on safety issues.
  • Investigate health complaints and enforce necessary actions.
  • Create and maintain accurate records of inspections and enforcement actions.
  • Prepare and present educational workshops on food safety.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve compliance rates.
  • React promptly to food safety emergencies and public health threats.
  • Collaborate with a team of inspectors and health officials to promote public health.
  • Utilize technology to enhance reporting and compliance tracking.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Food Safety or a related field is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in food safety or quality assurance
