Job Description

We're looking for empathetic individuals to fill the role of Psychiatric Aide. You will support patients with daily activities, collaborate with healthcare teams, and work to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for those in need.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily activities and personal care, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patients' mental and emotional well-being, reporting significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient information, including vital signs, behaviors, and progress notes.
  • Support therapeutic interventions and recreational activities under the guidance of the treatment team.
  • Provide emotional support and active listening to build rapport and trust.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop personalized care plans.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
  • Assist in crisis management and de-escalation techniques as required.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited psychiatric aide program preferred
Experience
  • Experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting is preferred.
