Job Description

Join us as a Surgical Assistant where you'll be responsible for preparing surgical instruments, assisting in operations, and maintaining cleanliness in the surgical suite. Experience and readiness to learn are crucial in this vital role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating room for surgeries by ensuring environmental cleanliness and equipment readiness.
  • Assist with the transfer of patients to and from the operating room.
  • Help ensure patient comfort and safety throughout surgical procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss surgical cases and improve processes.
  • Support the lead surgeon in educational activities by providing assistance with training new staff.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a surgical technology program preferred
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a surgical assistant role or similar position preferred

Certifications
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
