Job Description

As a Blast Furnace Checker, you will oversee and monitor the operation of blast furnaces in our manufacturing facility. Your role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of furnaces, inspecting equipment, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of blast furnace equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor temperatures, gas levels, and pressure to optimize output and quality.
• Maintain accurate logs of furnace operations and report discrepancies.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and services.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the development of training programs for new hires.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance production efficiency.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure product standards are met.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional training or certification in metallurgy preferred

Experience

• Experience in steel manufacturing or related industrial settings is preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent
