Job Description

As a Pediatric Clinical Geneticist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating genetic disorders in children and adolescents. You will evaluate medical histories, conduct physical examinations, analyze diagnostic tests, and counsel patients and their families. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to genetic conditions.
  • Develop protocols for genetic evaluations and consultations.
  • Participate in case discussions and team meetings.
  • Assist in training and mentoring pediatric residents.
  • Attend and contribute to departmental meetings.
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes affecting genetic testing.
  • Support families in understanding their genetic health.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completed residency in pediatrics
  • Completed fellowship in clinical genetics
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in diagnosing and treating genetic disorders in children
