Drop-Wire Builder

Job Description

As a Drop-Wire Builder, you'll play a pivotal role in the installation and maintenance of essential drop-wire connections for both residential and commercial clients. You'll work hand-in-hand with our installation team to guarantee that connections are managed efficiently, enhancing service delivery across our service areas.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair drop-wire connections for residential and business customers.
• Perform site surveys to determine optimal installation locations and route planning.
• Work with various hand tools, cable splicers, and testing equipment to ensure proper connectivity.
• Follow industry-standard guidelines and company procedures for cable installation and maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the installation process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve service quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all installations, repairs, and tests performed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in drop-wire installation or related field is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Telecom Wiring Tools (e.g., wire cutters, crimpers, splicers)
• Signal Testing Equipment

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Professional certification in telecommunication or related field (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in using aerial lift equipment: Hands-on experience with aerial lifts necessary for certain installations.
• Knowledge of fiber optic cable installation: Familiarity with fiber optic installation techniques is a plus.
• Experience with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems: Knowledge of VoIP systems to assist customers with telecommunication needs.
