Job Description

As an Offender Job Retention Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals recently released from correctional facilities. Your main objective is to help clients retain their employment and successfully reintegrate into the community. You will provide personalized guidance, develop job retention programs, and create supportive partnerships with employers.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage job retention resources for offenders.
  • Conduct regular follow-up assessments with clients to track employment statuses.
  • Collaborate with rehabilitation programs to align services for clients.
  • Coordinate with community organizations and employers to establish job retention networks.
  • Organize workshops on workplace skills and personal development.
  • Assist clients in developing professional resumes and cover letters.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of job retention programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Advocate for clients with employers regarding any workplace accommodations needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with offender populations or in employment services
