Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Bilingual Teacher Aide! You will assist teachers in navigating the complexities of multilingual education, providing crucial support that helps students from diverse backgrounds succeed in their studies.

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom instruction by helping students grasp concepts and materials.
  • Assist with individual and small-group tutoring sessions.
  • Help foster communication between non-English speaking students and teachers.
  • Translate classroom discussions when needed to facilitate understanding.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain student records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Encourage an interactive and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field
  • Teaching certification preferred but not mandatory
Experience
  • Experience working with bilingual students and their families.
