Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of transmission systems.
• Rebuild and recalibrate transmissions to meet manufacturer standards.
• Document all repairs, including parts used and labor hours.
• Work closely with other technicians to enhance repair processes.
• Consult with customers to explain needed services and repairs.
• Keep the workplace organized and maintain tool inventory.
• Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs were successful.
• Participate in training and stay informed on industry trends.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in automotive technology or transmission repair preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in automotive transmission repair preferred.

Technical Skills

• Rebuilding Transmissions
• Utilizing power tools

Certifications

• Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
• EPA Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with diagnostics and repair of hybrid vehicle transmissions: Hands-on experience with hybrid technology.
