Explosives Truck Driver

Job Description

As an Explosives Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting explosives and detonators to various job sites. A strong adherence to safety regulations and protocols is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Transport explosives in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, including manifests and bills of lading.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials.
• Manage effective communication with dispatch and customers.
• Resolve any issues or incidents that may arise during transport.
• Ensure full compliance with company safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a truck driver, with experience transporting hazardous materials preferred.

Technical Skills

• Excellent Driving Skills
• Basic Truck Maintenance Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Good Communication Skills

Certifications

• Valid Class A CDL license with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional certifications in truck driving or hazardous materials handling: Preferred certifications that enhance safety and operational efficiency.
• Experience with heavy machinery operation: Familiarity with and capability to operate equipment used in hazardous materials.
• Experience with explosives handling: Knowledge and experience in safely managing and transporting explosives.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel overnight as needed: Willingness to adapt to varying schedules and job locations.
