Environmental Compliance Inspector

Job Description

As an Environmental Compliance Inspector, you will ensure adherence to environmental laws and regulations, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Your role involves conducting site inspections, investigating violations, and collaborating with industry professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead site inspections and audits, assessing compliance with RCRA and other environmental laws.
• Issue enforcement actions and develop corrective actions plans with violators.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations into environmental violations.
• Provide expert guidance on compliance matters to operators and stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, violations, and communications.
• Work closely with federal and state regulatory agencies to facilitate compliance enforcement.
• Engage in continuous education and training to enhance knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Draft analytical reports detailing inspection findings and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, or a related field

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in environmental compliance and enforcement
