Job Description

As a skilled Luterman, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of machinery integral to our production of lumber. Your hands-on experience will help us refine our operations and ensure equipment runs efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate machinery performance and recommend enhancements.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.
• Lead maintenance projects and coordinate with external contractors if needed.
• Resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize production delays.
• Participate in developing strategies for preventive maintenance.
• Review technical documentation to improve understanding of equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
• Cultivate a culture of safety and responsibility among team members.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training certificate in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience, especially in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of CNC machinery

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Flexibility

Certifications

• First aid and CPR certification is an asset

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques: Experience with systems that predict equipment failures to inform maintenance schedules.
• Experience with pneumatic systems: Working knowledge of pneumatic machinery and tools used in production.
