Job Description

As a Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team by preparing and examining tissue samples for diagnostics. You’ll work closely with pathologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate results and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and process biological samples for analysis.
  • Embed specimens in paraffin wax and cut thin sections for examination.
  • Execute and verify staining procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and assay failures.
  • Communicate effectively with the medical team regarding test results.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Participate in laboratory meetings to discuss improvement strategies.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance.
  • Document all procedures and results according to standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a histopathology technician in a clinical setting
