Job Description

As a Sewing Machine Operator at Quality Stitch Apparel, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality garments. Your responsibilities will include operating and maintaining flat lock sewing machines, performing quality checks, and working closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery of orders.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for production runs, ensuring proper tension and stitching.
• Feed fabric through the machine and guide it to ensure accurate stitching.
• Check finished products for defects and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of work area and machines.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions quickly.
• Document daily production metrics and report them to the supervisor.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and innovation.
• Assist with inventory management and materials handling.
• Participate in training sessions for new equipment and techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary training in fashion technology is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in garment production, preferably with flat lock machines.
