Job Description

Join our team as a Caterpillar Mechanic! This position focuses on the repair and maintenance of heavy machinery, particularly Caterpillar equipment, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Execute repairs on Caterpillar machinery including engines and hydraulics.
• Conduct regular inspections to detect potential maintenance issues.
• Test machinery after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
• Work collaboratively with a team of mechanics and technicians.
• Train junior staff on safe operation and maintenance procedures.
• Stay updated on service bulletins and repair techniques.
• Support other team members in their duties as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a relevant vocational training program

Experience

• At least 2 years working with Caterpillar machinery

Technical Skills

• Thorough understanding of diesel engines
• Ability to read technical manuals

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Time management

Certifications

• ASE Certification is a plus

Advantageous

• Experience with diagnostic software: Familiarity with the use of Caterpillar Electronic Technician and other diagnostic tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills: Ability to quickly pinpoint issues and recommend effective solutions.
