Job Description

Join our Detroit plant as a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator. We are looking for candidates with a passion for industrial heating systems and proven skills in manganese heater operations to enhance our production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of manganese heaters to meet production targets.
• Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the development of operating procedures to enhance safety.
• Provide input on equipment upgrades or replacements based on performance data.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to identify areas for operational improvement.
• Support the training and onboarding of new furnace operators.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the production area.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in heating systems preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in manganese heating operations or related industrial experience

Technical Skills

• Industrial Heating Systems
• Equipment Calibration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Automation Technology: Familiarity with automated heating systems is beneficial.
