The Sawmill Tally Clerk is responsible for accurately recording and documenting incoming and outgoing lumber products in a sawmill facility. They play a crucial role in maintaining inventory control and ensuring smooth operations within the sawmill.
Responsibilities
Accurately record and tally incoming and outgoing inventory of lumber products.
Ensure proper documentation and labeling of lumber bundles, logs, and other inventory items.
Perform regular inventory audits to validate stock levels and address any discrepancies.
Collaborate with the production team to track production output and maintain accurate production records.
Assist in the coordination of inventory shipments and deliveries.
Support the quality control team in inspecting lumber products for conformity to specifications.
Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory records using computer systems and software.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines in all inventory-related activities.
Identify process improvement opportunities and propose solutions for optimizing inventory management.

Education
