Job Description

The Sawmill Tally Clerk is responsible for accurately recording and documenting incoming and outgoing lumber products in a sawmill facility. They play a crucial role in maintaining inventory control and ensuring smooth operations within the sawmill.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record and tally incoming and outgoing inventory of lumber products.
  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of lumber bundles, logs, and other inventory items.
  • Perform regular inventory audits to validate stock levels and address any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the production team to track production output and maintain accurate production records.
  • Assist in the coordination of inventory shipments and deliveries.
  • Support the quality control team in inspecting lumber products for conformity to specifications.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory records using computer systems and software.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines in all inventory-related activities.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and propose solutions for optimizing inventory management.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant Certification or Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory management or related roles
