Geoscientist (Petrologist)

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Geoscientist (Petrologist) to analyze rocks and minerals and provide insights for geological studies. You'll work closely with a team of experts to interpret geological data, prepare detailed reports, and support innovative exploration strategies.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analyses of rock samples to determine composition and characteristics.
• Compile and interpret data from petrological studies.
• Classify rocks based on chemical and physical properties.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for resource exploration.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders.
• Conduct fieldwork to collect samples and conduct studies.
• Use specialized software for data analysis and modeling.
• Document results to improve geological processes.
• Assist in training junior staff and interns.
• Participate in industry conferences to present research.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or closely related field
• Master's degree in Petrology or a related field is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years in the exploration or resource extraction industry preferred.
