Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Prop Cutter to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and preparing props for film, TV, and theatre productions. Attention to detail and creativity are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Create props that are functional and visually appealing.
• Collaborate on the overall artistic vision with directors and designers.
• Work under tight deadlines to deliver materials as requested.
• Keep up with industry trends in prop design and fabrication.
• Train new staff in prop maintenance and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant vocational training preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in prop design and construction

Technical Skills

• Carpentry

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with set design and construction: Ability to contribute to set design and construction in addition to prop work.
• Experience in a supervisory role: Previous experience overseeing other prop cutters or assistants.
