Job Description

The Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) plays a crucial role in providing confidential support and advocacy services to survivors of sexual assault. This position is vital for coordinating medical care, counseling, and legal advocacy for victims.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and crisis support to survivors of sexual assault.
• Serve as a liaison between victims and service providers, including healthcare and legal entities.
• Lead educational initiatives to inform the community about sexual violence.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations focused on survivor support.
• Ensure the confidentiality of all client interactions and documentation.
• Develop support groups for survivors and facilitate sessions.
• Advise on policy improvements related to victim services.
• Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of services provided.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years in a relevant field, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
