Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Control Operator to manage and oversee control systems within our nuclear power plants. This position requires a thorough understanding of nuclear reactor operations, strong adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain various control panels and systems for nuclear reactor operations.
  • Ensure the safety and reliability of nuclear power plant operations through effective monitoring.
  • Document all operational activities and respond swiftly to any alarms or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Conduct analyses of safety protocols and recommend improvements based on findings.
  • Lead emergency drills and ensure all team members are prepared for incident response.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and industry standards to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support regulatory audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Engage in peer reviews and contribute to team discussions regarding operational improvements.
  • Uphold rigorous documentation standards to ensure accountability and transparency.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field
  • Advanced certification in nuclear technologies is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of operational experience in a nuclear power setting.
