Transportation Bus Driver

Job Description

As a Transportation Bus Driver, you will be responsible for driving passengers safely to their destinations on designated routes. The successful candidate must have a clean driving record and a strong ability to communicate effectively with passengers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of passengers during transit by adhering to all safety protocols.
• Regularly notify dispatch of any delays or issues encountered during routes.
• Stay updated on route changes and transit schedules.
• Work collaboratively with fellow drivers and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety meetings as required.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience working in a public transportation setting preferred.

Technical Skills

• Basic math and record-keeping skills
• Electronic fare payment systems

Soft Skills

• Time-management skills

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Intermediate
