Metal-Refining Furnace Operators and Tenders

Job Description

As a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator, you'll play a critical role in overseeing the operation of industrial ovens used in the metal refining process. You will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting equipment settings to ensure optimal production while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the metal-refining furnaces to ensure efficient production.
• Perform quality checks on materials pre- and post-processing in the ovens.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and equipment areas.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for maintenance as needed.
• Document any operational issues and report to the supervisor promptly.
• Participate in safety drills and training to enhance workplace safety.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by optimizing resource usage.
• Execute production run plans efficiently and adapt as required.
• Monitor and record temperatures and processing times for quality assurance.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet production objectives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED

Experience

• Experience in operating industrial ovens or related equipment is a plus.

Languages

• English: Fluent
