CAT Operator (Caterpillar Operator)

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled CAT Operator (Caterpillar Operator) who is adept at handling various Caterpillar heavy machinery. The ideal candidate should have robust experience in a construction setting, particularly with excavation and grading tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation of CAT equipment, including digging, grading, and hauling materials.
• Provide input on equipment performance and suggest improvements or replacements.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated before use to maintain operational efficiency.
• Train and mentor new operators on safe and effective machinery use.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and ensure equipment is ready for operation.
• Maintain accurate logs of hours worked and fuel usage.
• Collaborate with project managers to adjust workflows based on project changes.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a safe work environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience operating large scale CAT models relevant to construction

Technical Skills

• CAT Equipment Familiarity
• GPS and Site Preparation Tools

Certifications

• Heavy Equipment Operator License

Languages

• English: Fluent
