Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Soaking Pit Operator! In this role, you will oversee the heat treating process, manage the loading and unloading of materials, and ensure that all operations comply with stringent safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the heat treating process from start to finish.
• Maintain precise temperature controls for optimal heat treatment.
• Evaluate and document the quality of treated materials.
• Work with quality assurance teams to meet production targets.
• Support equipment calibration and troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for safety.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical training or certification in heat treating processes preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in heat treating operations.

Technical Skills

• Heat treating equipment knowledge
• Familiarity with safety standards

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Heat Treating Professional (CHTP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of CNC machining: Experience with CNC equipment can be a plus in understanding post-heat treatment processes.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards: Experience working under ISO standards will be beneficial.
