Job Description

The Navigation Officer will oversee the safe navigation of vessels, ensuring compliance with international regulations and maintaining accurate records. Candidates should possess strong navigational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead navigation meetings to discuss upcoming voyages.
• Instruct crew on safe navigation practices.
• Assist with route planning based on environmental conditions.
• Conduct drills for emergency situations.

• Analyze past voyage data to enhance future performance.
• Coordinate with port authorities before docking.
• Respond to navigational inquiries from external parties.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine Navigation or similar
• Additional maritime certifications preferred

Experience

• Experience navigating various types of vessels, including tankers and cargo ships.
