Job Description

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will assess and manage workplace hazards to ensure employee safety. Your expertise will help in developing and implementing strategic programs aimed at preventing occupational diseases and injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Identify risks in the workplace through comprehensive evaluations.
  • Implement industrial hygiene practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct health and safety training sessions for employees across various departments.
  • Assist in the development of safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze data to assess trends in workplace incidents and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of health and safety within the organization.
  • Respond to health-related complaints from employees, ensuring proper follow-up and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Act as a resource for safety-related inquiries and concerns among staff.
  • Facilitate safety audits and ensure timely corrective actions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in health and safety compliance.
