Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for accuracy.
• Use cutting-edge tools to fabricate steel components.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and safety protocols.
• Document work progress and report to the production supervisor.
• Train new team members on safety and operational protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers on design changes.
• Ensure effective communication within the team regarding timelines and materials required.
• Inspect materials for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade school certification in welding or steel fabrication preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in steel fabrication or related field preferred.

Technical Skills

• Heavy machinery operation
• Interpretation of engineering specifications

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time management

Certifications

• Forklift Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating cranes: Proven ability to operate cranes safely and efficiently on job sites.
• Certifications in welding or steel fabrication: Additional certifications that validate skills in welding or fabrication.
