Outside Plant Engineer

Job Description

We're seeking a detail-oriented Outside Plant Engineer to manage telecommunication network projects. Your responsibilities will include designing network layouts and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain documentation for network designs and layouts.
• Analyze network performance and recommend improvements.
• Troubleshoot network issues and develop solutions.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Participate in project planning and resource allocation.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Industry certifications such as RCDD or BICSI preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering

Technical Skills

• Fiber optic network design experience
• Knowledge of industry regulations

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in aerial and underground cable installation: Proficient in managing installations in various environments.
• Familiarity with GIS software: Experience with Geographic Information Systems for mapping and analysis.
