Job Description

As an Animal Caretaker with Wildlife Conservation Organization, you will play a crucial role in the daily care and management of various animal species. Your responsibilities will include feeding, monitoring behavior, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for the animals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily care routines for various animal species.
  • Keep animal habitats clean and safe.
  • Observe and document animal behavior and health.
  • Assist with public education programs focusing on conservation.
  • Collaborate with veterinary staff on animal health issues.
  • Participate in breeding programs and conservation efforts.
  • Conduct educational tours for visitors.
  • Maintain accurate animal records using software.
  • Train new staff and volunteers on animal care practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field
  • Prior experience in a zoo or wildlife rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
Experience
  • Experience with exotic animals is a plus
