Prepress Technician

Job Description

As a Prepress Technician, your primary responsibility will be to operate phototypesetting equipment efficiently, ensuring high-quality production for various printed products. You will collaborate closely with our design team to maintain our high standards and meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Set type and prepare text for printing using phototypesetting tools.
• Conduct regular quality checks on output to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Communicate with designers to address any discrepancies in print jobs.
• Document all production processes and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in training junior staff on equipment operation and software tools.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and report any shortages.
• Suggest improvements for operational efficiency and quality control.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Graphic Design or Printing Technology is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in the printing industry preferred

• Typesetting Software Knowledge

Languages

• English: Fluent
