Job Description

The Telegraph Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing telegraph equipment, including telegraph wires, poles, and other related equipment. The role requires an individual with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, capable of solving complex issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on telegraph and communication systems.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of telegraph equipment and systems.
• Maintain precise records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma or certificate in telegraph or communication systems

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications

Technical Skills

• Fiber Optics

Certifications

• NESC Familiarity Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
