Prepress Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Prepress Technician to operate and maintain Linotype machines for setting type in a variety of sizes and fonts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of typography and print production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage the typesetting process from start to finish.
• Coordinate with editors and graphic designers.
• Ensure timely completion of print jobs.
• Train junior staff on Linotype operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace for safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in printing technology is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in typesetting or printing.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Monotype machines: Hands-on experience with other typesetting equipment.
