Firefighter

Job Description

We are looking for passionate and skilled firefighters who are ready to serve their community. In this role, you will respond to emergencies, fight fires, and provide rescue services. Ideal candidates are physically fit, able to work in high-pressure environments, and possess a strong commitment to public safety.

Responsibilities

• Administer basic life support and respond to medical emergencies.
• Work with local and state agencies during large-scale emergencies.
• Perform maintenance on fire apparatus and tools to ensure they are in safe working order.
• Participate in public education sessions regarding fire safety.
• Monitor and report conditions at fire scenes to ensure safety.
• Assist with the organization of community engagement activities.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fire Science degree preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in firefighting or emergency services.

Technical Skills

• Fire Code Knowledge
• Hazardous Materials Training

• Communication

Certifications

• Firefighter II Certification
• Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
• Community Volunteer Experience: Previous service in community safety programs is beneficial.
